The charm of our area is it's natural beauty, the laid back lifestyle, the friendliness of the local people and our very pleasant weather (winter months especially).
Our area boasts the best beaches around - Seaforth, Cape Hillsborough, Haliday Bay, Ball Bay, Smalleys Beach, Belmunda and Newry and Rabbit Islands (accessible by boat only).
You can swim all year round in the Council maintained tidal swimming enclosures at Seaforth and Haliday Bay. The children's wading pool at Seaforth opens during the Easter and Christmas school holidays and weekends during the summer months.
Recreational pastimes include fishing, crabbing and prawning. Seaforth has one of the best boat launching facilities in the state at the Victor Creek Boat Ramp, and has security lighting at night. The newly constructed pontoon is another great asset.
There are numerous Council parks and playgrounds in the area, many with barbeque facilities.
A variety of accommodation from tent sites to resort style is available.
